Crystal Miles Announces Orange County Mayors Coalition

Villa Park, CA - - Today Republican Crystal Miles announced an endorsement coalition of Orange County Mayors for her campaign for the 37th Senate District. The coalition represents a ground-swell of local elected officials who are growing impatient with the politics of the California State Legislature and its inaction on issues affecting the community.

"The policies coming out of Sacramento are putting pressure on local governments and destroying our unique way of life in Orange County," said Yorba Linda Mayor Gene Hernandez. "This election isn't just about one Senate District, it's about Orange County as a whole and our chance to break the cycle of electing politicians that are destroying our way of life. I'm happy to support Crystal Miles because as a mother and small-business owner, we know that she will put the needs of our community ahead of partisan politics. "

The announced coalition includes:

Former Mayor, Council Member Steve Vargas, City of Brea

Mayor Mike Frost, City of Dana Point

Former Mayor, Council Member, Erica Pezold, City of Laguna Hills

Mayor, Brian Goodell, City of Mission Viejo

Mayor Ward Smith, City of Placentia

Former Mayor, Mark Murphy, City of Orange

Former Mayor, Council Member, Vince Rossini, City of Villa Park

Former Mayor Brad Reese, City of Villa Park

Former Mayor Rich Ulmer, City of Villa Park

Mayor Gene Hernandez, City of Yorba Linda

Former Mayor, Council Member Beth Haney, City of Yorba Linda

"I'm honored to have the support of these local Mayors from across Orange County," said Crystal Miles. "One theme I continuously hear from locals when I'm on the campaign trail is that they believe they no longer have a voice in State Government. They don't feel represented while San Francisco politicians push their agenda that is out of touch with most of the state on us. My promise is that I will always stand up for the district and Orange County. It's time for change."
