Former Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove endorses Crystal Miles in 37th Senate District

ORANGE, CA – Today, Former Senate Republican Leader Shannon Grove endorsed Crystal Miles in the 37th Senate District. Miles now has the support of three former Senate Republican Leaders; Dick Ackerman, Pat Bates and Shannon Grove.

“As a business owner, the first female veteran elected to the California State Legislature, and a State Senator, I am pleased to endorse Crystal Miles for the 37th Senate District. Crystal is a Republican businesswoman, popular City Council Member and a mom who gives us the very best chance to win,” said Grove.

Senator Grove joins Orange County Assemblymembers Phillip Chen and Diane Dixon, Supervisor Don Wagner, former Congresswoman Mimi Walters, former Senate Republican Leaders Dick Ackerman and Pat Bates and many other Orange County leaders in supporting Miles for Senate. Crystal Miles is a mother and businesswoman who started her public service career at the city level. A Villa Park City Councilmember, Miles operates a wholesale distribution business with her husband Kirk. Previously Miles served as a research scientist specializing in biomedical immunology research and development at Johnson & Johnson and Nichols Institute Diagnostics. She was elected to the City Council in 2018 and reelected in 2022, including a term as Mayor in 2021.

The 37th Senate District is expected to be a top legislative target for both parties in 2024. The Orange County district stretches from Fullerton in the north to Laguna Niguel in the south.
