Major Endorsement Alert: Surf City’s Mayor Tony Strickland Endorses Crystal Miles For Senate

Villa Park, Calif. - - Today Republican Crystal Miles announced receiving the endorsement of popular Huntington Beach Mayor Tony Strickland in her

campaign for the 37th State Senate District. Huntington Beach, also known as Surf City, is one of the largest cities in Orange County.

“I’m honored to have the support of Mayor Tony Strickland,” said Miles. “Since he has become Mayor, I’ve been an admirer of his willingness to fight for Orange County and do the right thing.”

Mayor Strickland has been a champion for conservative causes and is a former State Senator himself. Since being elected to the City Council, Strickland has been an active supporter of popular proposals such as limiting flags flown at city hall to only the American and California flags, protecting local property rights and changing the city’s charter to require voter ID at polling locations.

Mayor Strickland cited Miles’ leadership as reason for the endorsement. “Crystal Miles is exactly the type of bold leader we need representing Orange County in the State Senate,” said Strickland. “Crystal isn’t afraid to take on the establishment. That’s why she has my support. I know she will be a strong advocate for families, fight on behalf of taxpayers and stand up to those who want to release dangerous criminals into our streets. That’s the type of leadership we need and I will enjoy working with her when she is elected to the State Senate.”
